housekeeping
By media girl
Some housekeeping notes: mediagirl.org is a newborn, and like any baby, it will sometimes squawk or cry or cough things up. But it's hoped it will grow bigger and smarter very quickly, and charm us all. If you have any ideas for site features or suggestions on how to administer and highlight content, we would love to hear them.
At any rate, the site is up and running. Please feel free to poke around, find a comfy spot and enjoy yourself.

We're still tweaking the look and feel. It's a slow process as one thing affects everything else. The new logo is the result of an effort to get away from having a black header bar, which made the page hard on the eyes. There is no universally loved layout, but we do try to at least satisfy our own questionable tastes.
Been busy installing a new CMS on a business site. But I did get around to playing around with some colors and linking highlights, and got the favicon updated. A little bit every day, right? The site may end up looking halfway decent yet. The only problem is that each day my taste changes and I toss out what I did before. Is that what we call the creaetive process? Or am I just wishy washy?

Due to a veritable plethora of headaches associated with the module, I've had to disable the rich text editor for now. Hopefully a new solution will arise in the near future. As it is, we're back to basic html with some enhancements and BBcode.
There's also an image upload feature to enable posting pictures into posts, not just image gallery additions. This was one of the features that did not work well with the rich text editor. Hopefully things will be a lot smoother for everyone now.
I hope we can get a WISIWIG interface and spell checker some time in the future but agree it had its quirks. The great thing about today is that every day a new solution appears. Exciting times, we live in.
Thank you for all the good work behind the scenes to keep the site moving, seemingly, smooth as glass.
