Now I read that this poor girl is bedridden and has no cognative thought,and that the reason the parents were doing this is because they wanted to keep her in the home and provide the personal care that they feel she wouldn't receive in an "institution". If that is truly the case it puts a whole different spin on this story. I truly hope that is the real story. Has anyone else heard this? I can't remeber which news site I read it on.

As the father of 4 healthy children, I'm just glad my wife and I never had to face this sort of problem.

As far as judging these parents, I'll leave that to a higher power.
