to the women of texas

great post moiv.

this should be required reading for every texan. the tax dollars removed from Planned Parenthood in an effort to "punish" the health organization don't appear as if they'll be wisely spent.

of course, that's the right wing meme these days, isnt it?

throw the money away.

But as our wingnut friends are wont to remind us

The Constitution does not say anything about a woman's right over her own body. Therefore, according to Amendment 9.5 (which exists in truthiness if not in fact), if the government wants to claim women's wombs as Property of the State, who are we as mere citizens to say anything about it?

Following that, it's only natural that the Great State of Texas passes laws and provides funding to treat Its wombs as It sees fit.

Baby snatchers

That's what these people are and that's what we should call them. Professional baby snatchers.

They get their hooks in desperate, pregnant women with few options, convince them to have their babies, then turn around and sell those babies to the highest bidders in the adoption market. Ooops, I mean they "facilitate adoptions," for a fee.

Once the newborns are delivered (did you say healthy, full-term and white? glory hallelujah) the women who gave birth to them are discarded like so many used tissues and the cycle continues.
