Reactions to Roberts here and there

media girl's picture

Rather than start off with a rant just now, there are some other interesting (and upsetting) discussions going on:

On Our Word, TrueBlueDem offers some links:

"Overturning Roe is somehow a GOOD THING for Democrats..."

Perhaps it may be a good thing for some Democrats ie 10% of right wing male Democrats but speaking for myself... it is NOT a good thing.

Here is has come up around the blogosphere like mushrooms today... first the acceptance that there is no use in fighting for Roe anymore and that it magically morphs into a "Good thing for Democrats"

* Roe Is Gone; Here is What Dems Should Do

* Abortion, The Gift to the GOP that Keeps on Givin

* Roe v. Wade

What do you think is overturning Roe the boon that these men think it will be to the Democratic Party?

BREAKING... a new just arrived :

Words to "live" by

There's lively discussion on all of those, including on TrueBlueDem's thread itself.

More from www.OurWord.org:

Roe v. Wade is not the Gordion knot
When will men STFU and listen?
Justice Roberts?
When men are away, Women focus on Women's Rights
When is a women's blog a ghetto?

Lots of commenting activity worth a peek.

Some other observations by smart women (and a man, too):

Ms.Musings: The Supreme Court Could Do Without So Much Niceness
Pseudo-Adrienne at Women's Autonomy Movement: John G. Roberts...
Nick Kiddle on Alas, a Blog: Pregnancy is a process
Sheelzebub of Pinko Feminist Hellcat: Abortion is wonderful
Bitch, Ph.D.: Some facts about abortion

And for a little background, the SCOTUSblog: Potential Nominee Profile--Judge John G. Roberts and a more legally-oriented link-fest to other posts.

And last, but not least, for a little background for you men who still don't get what women are about, some thoughts from Tiny Cat Pants: It Starts When You're Always Afraid
