shutthefuckupism

I believe what this story says too. If you run over to reid's blog, dailykos.com, you can see the vicious pushback in the threads by the online ward-heelers. The usual suspects. The amount of shutthefuckupism in the thread, and the agressiveness, makes me believe that the story is true.

The democratic party as configured on the national level no longer has our interests at heart.

Can't Help But Wonder...

...if Cindy Sheehan's withdrawal from the challenge to DiFi is getting the same amount of bandwidth, or if some similar machinations are behind it...

Not only those things

but also a feckless enabler for the Bush Administration's continuing power grabs:

Reid, who so admires Feingold's courage, left Feingold all alone yet again..

Maha, having quoted the above from the Boston Globe, goes on to say:

This reminds me of what the Dems did with Congressman Jack Murtha. Murtha had the courage to stand up and present an alternative to the Bushie “stay the course Iraq policy. Once the inevitable personal smears of Murtha, including slanders of his service record, picked up steam on the Right, it seems to me most Democrats retreated behind cover and left Murtha alone and exposed. This in spite of the fact that Murtha’s proposal polled well

They just don't get it...

Americans do not respect cowards. You can pull the chicken switch every 5 minutes and be taken seriously. Of course the Hackett voters will go Republican - they want a candidate with cojones.

We need to get it in our heads that the Dems in Congress benefit from Republican policies. They're richer than they've ever been, and they all come from the same secret societies and board rooms. They don't give a shit about us. The care about staying in office, and that means not threatening those who control the voting machines.

The only way to get their attention is to leave.
